San Lorenzo Patron Saint Feast

San Lorenzo (St Lawrence) is Cogoleto's patron saint, celebrated on 10 August — one of the town's most heartfelt feast days. It blends a religious side — solemn mass at the Santa Maria Maggiore parish and a procession through the old town with the confraternities' crucifixes and the saint's shrine — with a popular celebration: a fair and stalls along the seafront, a food sagra with Ligurian specialities run by the Confraternita di San Lorenzo, and evening fireworks over the sea.
